Natural Raises $30 Million to Build Payment Rails for AI Agents

Natural, a year-old company that is building a foundational payment stack for artificial intelligence agents, raised $30 million in a Series A funding round.

The round brings Natural’s total funding to more than $40 million, the company said in a Monday (July 20) press release. The firm announced about 10 months ago, in September 2025, that it raised $9.8 million in seed funding, PYMNTS reported at the time.

Natural released six products to general availability Monday, including Wallets, which are FDIC-insured wallets for agents; Vault, which provides one-way accounts that let agents move money in but not out; Pay, which lets companies send money to an agent, business or consumer; Request, which lets companies collect money from an agent, business or consumer; Transfer, which lets companies move funds between internal and external accounts; and Connect, which lets companies build platforms and marketplaces on Natural, according to the release.

The company plans to roll out three more products within months, including Voice, which will allow AI agents to collect card details and other PCI information over the phone; Accept, which will allow companies to turn agents into merchants; and Cards, which will allow companies to issue debit and charge cards for agents.

In the fourth quarter, Natural plans to launch another four products, including Charge, which will support per-API-call billing on top of Natural wallets; Credit, which will allow companies to issue lines of credit for agents; Direct, which will allow agents to call specific payment rails at runtime; and Billing, which will support success-based billing for agents.

“We made a bet on agentic payments a year ago, when no one was talking about it,” Natural CEO and Co-Founder Kahlil Lalji said in the release. “We knew that we needed to own that entire stack.”

Natural’s Series A was led by Kirsten Green, founder and managing partner at Forerunner, per the release.

“New platform shift, new rails,” Green said in a Monday post on X. “Agentic payments aren’t yet a thing, but [Natural] has the team and ambition to build this new infrastructure. Payments that are agent-to-agent, business-to-agent, consumer-to-agent — and reverse. Proud to lead the $30M Series A.”
